Nature of the SSir Online Service
|
SSir Online School CC (“SSir”) provides online teaching, learning resources, assessment and academic support through its website, learning management system and related online services.
Online learning requires active participation by the learner. The quality of the learner's educational experience and progress will depend, among other things, on the learner's attendance, preparation, self-discipline, effort, access to appropriate technology and completion of required work.
The Individual Student Enrolment Agreement, where applicable, sets out the contractual terms governing the enrolment and provision of the SSir course. This Disclaimer does not replace that Agreement.

Course Material and Third-Party Resources
|
SSir makes reasonable efforts to prepare, maintain and update its course material. Courses may also contain or refer to material supplied by third parties, including external websites, videos, documentation, software and other educational resources.
SSir does not own or control third-party material and cannot guarantee that external websites, links, videos, software or other resources will remain available, unchanged, accurate or compatible with every learner's circumstances.
Where SSir provides a link to, or guidance concerning, a third-party resource, this does not mean that SSir owns, operates or guarantees that resource.

Third-Party Software and Learner Equipment
|
Some SSir courses require or introduce third-party software, including software used for programming, databases, productivity applications or other course activities. Such software remains the property and responsibility of its respective developer or supplier.
The learner or parent/guardian is responsible for obtaining, installing and maintaining any third-party software required for the course, including complying with applicable licence terms.
SSir may provide reasonable educational guidance concerning the installation or use of required software. However, SSir cannot guarantee successful installation or operation on every computer, operating system or configuration. SSir provides teaching and course support rather than general computer repair or technical support for privately owned devices.

Internet, Browser and Technical Availability
|
Access to SSir's online services requires suitable equipment, an internet connection, compatible software and a functioning local network where applicable. These are normally outside SSir's control.
SSir is not responsible for interruptions or difficulties caused by a learner's internet service provider, local network, computer, operating system, browser, third-party software or other equipment or service outside SSir's reasonable control.
SSir will make reasonable efforts to maintain access to its own online services, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical faults, hosting or service-provider problems, security measures or other circumstances beyond SSir's reasonable control.

Accuracy and Changes to Information
|
SSir makes reasonable efforts to ensure that its course material and instructions are accurate and appropriate for the relevant course and curriculum. However, information, software, websites, technical requirements and external resources may change over time.
SSir may correct, update or amend course material and links where reasonably necessary. Where an external resource changes or becomes unavailable, SSir may provide an alternative resource or instruction where appropriate.

Online Learning and Educational Outcomes
|
Online education has particular advantages and limitations. SSir provides teaching, learning resources, assessment and support as described in the applicable course and enrolment documentation, but cannot guarantee any particular academic result or examination outcome.
A learner's academic progress depends on factors including participation, effort, preparation, completion of work, assessment performance and compliance with course requirements.

Assessment and Academic Integrity
|
Learners are expected to submit their own work and to comply with the academic-integrity, assessment and submission requirements applicable to their course.
Assessment-specific requirements and the consequences of misconduct, copying, plagiarism, unauthorised assistance or other academic-integrity breaches are governed by the applicable course and assessment requirements and, where relevant, the Individual Student Enrolment Agreement.

Course Enrolment and Conduct

Admission to an SSir course is subject to SSir's enrolment procedures and acceptance of the applicable enrolment terms. The Individual Student Enrolment Agreement governs matters such as fees, withdrawal, suspension and termination where that Agreement applies.
SSir expects learners to behave respectfully and appropriately when using its learning platforms and when communicating with SSir staff, teachers and other learners. SSir may take appropriate action in response to inappropriate or unethical conduct in accordance with the applicable enrolment terms and course rules.
